A Change Of Direction

So I have been practicing a lot of coding over the last 2-3 years. I usually talk about the nitty-gritty details of how the code interacts, but I am realizing that may not be the best use of my time. A lot of people don’t want to hear that, or maybe I’m just not good at explaining it. I had this big post all about installing php and writing server-side programs but I decided to scrap it. It’s not cutting edge. The processes are what was done 8 years ago.

Don’t write code the old way, or at least try to keep up because this industry moves way too fast to do anything the “current” way, let alone the old way. You have to be at the bleeding edge, because if your not, your getting left behind.

When you create digital products, they won’t sell themselves. I hate to break it to you, but your ideas aren’t that good. You need to be your own marketer, a cheerleader for what you have to offer the world. Get the idea out there early and often. Sometimes it feels like your juggling a knife, a ball, a sledge hammer, and a baby all at once.

I finally connected my socials accounts with software that publishes to all my accounts at once. This will cut my social media time down while increasing reach and effectiveness. Companies like Zapier and Hootsuite do this, but for now I’m just using WordPress’s built in software.

You may not realize it, but most of this “human” content you see online, is in some way, driven or automated by AI. It’s time to get on the bandwagon.
